Foundry4 Thermdos GmbH was founded in 2009 and is based near Frankfurt am Main, where the management, sales, design, order processing and finance departments are located. The ovens are manufactured 360 kilometres away in Thuringia. The company premises have 2,000 m² of production and storage space.

Foundry4 Thermdos GmbH has specialised in the development and manufacture of furnaces for holding and dosing non-ferrous metals, in particular aluminium. The core product is the "Thermdos" dosing furnace, which is available in six different sizes and with a capacity of 550 to 3150 kg. It is mainly used in die casting. In addition to the core product, special designs, customised constructions and a wide range of accessories are also available. Over 600 furnace systems are now in operation in Germany, Europe, South Korea and Mexico. Among the customers are well-known companies such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, ZF, KSM-Castings, Martinrea Honsel, Handtmann and many more.
Better metal quality, shorter process times, greater environmental compatibility
The aim of Foundry4 is to meet the ever-increasing demands of the foundry world in terms of better metal quality, shorter process times, greater safety, energy savings and environmental compatibility. To achieve this, Foundry4 utilises its technical experience to develop innovative and economical solutions. Foundry4 also provides technical service and general overhauls for existing dosing furnaces from other manufacturers.
