An agreement with Fata of Italy, which was Qatalum’s main casthouse contractor, includes 12 tapping vehicles with the crucible cleaner and other auxiliary equipment for transport of molten aluminium in the smelter in Mesaieed Industrial Park.
Molten aluminium from the 704 cells situated in two potrooms is transported to the casthouse in crucibles by tapping vehicles.
A crane assures the best flexibility, together with minimised oxidation and temperature drop under the transportation and discharge.
