The downtrend of the German economy seems to have reached the low, however, the rise will still cost some efforts. To master successfully this show of strength, the German foundry industry possesses the best conditions: an outstanding competence within material development, production technology and simulation.

Now it is important to strengthen the core competences and use purposefully for the upswing. The conference “Leichtbau in Guss” addresses current developments in the foundry technology and indicates new capabilities to the strengthening of the competitiveness.

In the course of the conference participants have the opportunity to take part in a visit of the light-alloy foundry at the BMW plant in Landshut.
