AsiaMold 2011 attracts high level of repeat exhibitors
The fifth edition of AsiaMold is scheduled to take place from September 21 - 23, 2011 at the Poly World Trade Centre Expo, Guangzhou, China. Covering two halls of a total area of 20,000 sqm, this established fair will present the entire process chain from design to prototyping to series production.
As a proven trade platform, the fair enjoys a high re-participation rate, especially among mold manufacturers. Many of these suppliers are some of the biggest names in the industry - Datamatic CNC engineering Co Ltd, Delcam China, Schmiedewerke Groeditz GmbH, TK Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd, Wellmei mold & Plastic Ind (HK) Co Ltd and Xiong Feng (Guangdong) Special Steel Co Ltd.
To enhance competiveness and facilitate communication between suppliers and manufacturers, a one-day Global Mould-Making Summit will be held on the second day of the fair. It will deliver the latest market news and trends, and will be especially interesting for attendees who want to know more about the promotion of digital molding, precision molding, automation molding and molding standardisation. The summit is co-hosted by the organisers of AsiaMold and the renowned international media group Ringier Trade Media Ltd. Ringier, a leading business-to-business information provider will also be responsible for the production of the fair's show daily.
China's mold industry is developing at an extraordinary rate. According to customs statistics, imports and exports of mold products from 2009 to 2010 increased by 11.85% to USD 42.58 billion. Imports were up by 4.99% to USD 20.62 billion and exports were up by 19.15% to USD 21.96 billion. Geared to the needs of the market, the fair will feature three product-based zones.
Machine Tools & Manufacturing Zone
The new Machine Tools & Manufacturing Zone will build on the success of the 2010 i-Moldshop, by bringing together more suppliers of machine tools, processing equipment, processing software, tooling equipment, manufacturing devices and systems. Exhibitor interest in this area is high, as they are keen to tap into this growing machine tool market, which is expected to increase by 13% annually to USD 90.8 billion over the next couple of years.
Automold & Subcontracting Zone
By 2012, automobile production in China is expected to exceed 20 million units. To meet market needs, the popular Automold & Subcontracting Zone will present a comprehensive range of mold and die solutions for the production of auto parts and accessories. Top brands exhibiting in this area include Guangzhou GRG Lamko mold Manufacturing Co Ltd, Zhejiang Kaihua Moulds Co Ltd and Sermo Wuhan Co Ltd.
Product Design, Molding & Thermoforming Zone
Presenting the latest materials, techniques and processes in thermoforming, this area will be of special interest to manufacturers of plastic products. Applications featured in this zone include CAD/CAM, innovation and applied technology, OEM Design and R&D applications.
