European Aluminium Congress 2011 in Düsseldorf
22. / 23. November 2011
Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. (GDA) is organising the EAC European aluminium Congress 2011 on 22-23 November 2011 in Düsseldorf; this year’s motto is ‘Technologies for the aluminium Industry’.
Growing aluminium demand will lead to greater demands being placed on the aluminium industry’s technology partners and equipment suppliers. Besides the supply of plant and machinery, the industry demands an understanding of the complete process as well as comprehensive systems expertise for all steps in aluminium’s value chain.
The congress language is English. The international congress offers suppliers and technology partners to the aluminium producing and processing industries a broad platform to present and discuss new techniques, processes or material developments relating to aluminium as a material. The focus will be on all steps in aluminium’s value chain, such as rolling, extrusion, drawing, casting, forging and downstream processing, from the production of the metal through to its recycling. The congress is aimed at representatives from primary smelters and remelters, semis producers, foundries, processing plants, metal traders and semis stockholders, and research facilities.
GDA is now inviting suggestions for topics to be covered and presentations. The deadline for submission is 1 March 2011.
