Foseco has announced the appointment of David Hughes as President foundry with effect from October 1st 2011.

Foseco is the foundry Division of Vesuvius and is the global leader in products and solutions for improving foundry performance.  Based in Shanghai, China, David succeeds Jeff Weeks who has retired following a 20 year career with the firm.

David joined Foseco in the UK in 1981 in a product development role. Subsequently he moved into product management in North America followed by sales management positions in Asia and then into general management. Most recently David has been the Managing Director of Foseco India and then Vice President for Asia-Pacific.

Other senior moves within Foseco include the appointment of Billy Patterson as Vice President foundry - Americas responsible for the foundry business in North and South America. Billy brings to the role 18 years experience within the Vesuvius group.

Carlos Cardozo has been appointed as foundry Vice President Marketing & Technology succeeding Roland Johnson who retires after 30 years. Based in the Netherlands, Carlos brings a long association with the foundry and metalworking industries, a sound knowledge of Foseco products and their application and extensive practical industrial marketing experience.
