OTTO JUNKER - Olimpia Fonderie S.p.A.
The Italian iron foundry Fima Olimpia has placed an order with OTTO JUNKER GmbH for the delivery of a new induction furnace plant.
The foundry, located in Tuscany, has specialized in manufacturing alloyed cast iron moulds for glass production.
The new furnace plant consists of two 6 t furnaces with one common IGBT converter with a power of 4,000 kW. The state-of-the-art IGBT technology combines all the advantages of the parallel oscillating circuit converter, i. e. excellent efficiency, low current load of the components and low requirements on the cooling water with a constant power factor cos phi of 1 at the converter entry.
The furnace plant is controlled by the Otto Junker "Man to furnace Interface M2F" of the latest generation.
