Cosma Casting Michigan will host a job fair this week in search of associates with die cast, foundry and maintenance experience.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Cosma facility located at 10 N. Clark Road within the Fort Custer Industrial Park in Battle Creek. It is looking to make direct hires during the event for positions with "good pay and great benefits," according to Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce President Kara Beer.

Cosma International, a subsidiary of the Canadian company Magna International, came to Battle Creek in 2013. At the time, the company announced plans to invest $162 million and move into the building built for, but never used by, United Solar Ovonic. It marked one of the most significant investments — along with Bleistahl North America LP, Janesville Acoustics and Toda America Inc. — made during the tenure of former Battle Creek Unlimited President Karl Dehn.
