The second Asiamold is well-received by exhibitors. A net total of 3,500 sqm was committed and 150 companies have confirmed participation, a scale already reaching the last edition of the show.
Asiamold – Guangzhou International Trade Fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development is set to take place from 24 - 26 September 2008 at the new phrase of Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre, China. It is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co., in co-operation with DEMAT GmbH and the Hong Kong Mould & Die Council.
The organiser revealed that as of April the show has reached a gross area of 8,000 sqm. And there are more overseas companies joining the show, including new exhibitors from Korea and the US. Currently there are exhibitors coming from 11 countries and regions. The 2008 event is expected to double in scale with expected participation of nearly 400 exhibitors occupying a total area of 20,000 sqm and showcasing their products to 15,000 visitors.
A premier show with the most mould-makers
Moreover, the number of mould-making companies joining Asiamold 2008 is likely to exceed the record of last year. Up to now around 100 mould-making companies have signed up for the show, making Asiamold a truely sourcing platform for mould & die solutions.
Mr Tao Wai Hung, Chairman of Hong Kong Mould & Die Council, revealed that over 20 members of the Council have confirmed participation. Amongst them are leading enterprises including Feng Chuan, Century Step, Worldwide, Ming Lee, ACE, Lung Kee and Lap Chi.
Mr Alfred Au, Vice Chairman of the Council added, “The number of overseas visitors, which was over 800, at the first Asiamold already proved that the brandname of Asiamold has been well established. On top of being an international and professional one stop platform for sourcing, Asiamold also provides an invaluable opportunity for industry practitioners to exchange technical knowledge and look for business leads and partners.“
Asiamold Forum – Innovation and Automation
Following its success in 2007, the concurrent Asiamold Forum will return with the theme on “Innovation and Automation“. The organising committee is now calling for papers on the topics including innovative techniques for mould & die sourcing, marketing concept for developing new busines, technology for mould-making, software and use of materials. On the automation side, topics include engineering and design, virtual reality and simulation, automation of mould shop, industrial automation and use of robot, and the application of automation in precision mould-making and auto mould-making.
