Changes in the Board of Management at Müller Weingarten

· Joachim Beyer and Dr. Markus Ernst appointed to the Müller Weingarten Board of Management effective July 1

· Rolf Zimmermann resigns as CEO

 

Weingarten, Effective July 1, the Supervisory Board of Müller Weingarten AG appointed two new members to the Board of Management of the company: Joachim Beyer (51), member of the Board of Management of Schuler AG, will become the CEO of Müller Weingarten AG effective August 1. Dr. Markus Ernst (38), spokesman of the Board of Directors at Schuler Pressen GmbH & Co. KG, will take over responsibility for the future Standard Presses segment.

Rolf Zimmermann (60), formerly the CEO of Müller Weingarten AG, is resigning from this post in the company as part of the takeover by Schuler AG at his own request effective July 31, 2007, in order to tackle new professional challenges. He will continue to assist the company in an advisory role during the integration phase.

Wolfgang Wagner (45), member of the Board of Management with responsibility for Corporate Development, will also leave the company at his own request effective September 30, 2007 after important projects in the MW Transformation restructuring program have been completed.

Below the Board of Management level, Joachim Peter, Corporate Vice President Finance & Central Functions, will continue to be responsible for the commercial departments and central functions; Carsten Strenger, Corporate Vice President Operations, will remain responsible for the areas of production, logistics and purchasing.

I would like to express particular thanks to Rolf Zimmermann and Wolfgang Wagner who launched the successful restructuring measures currently in progress at Müller Weingarten and have made a major contribution to the stability and performance of the future merged company."

Brief biographies of the new Board of Management members:

Joachim Beyer

Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Beyer, born 1955, was appointed to the Board of Management of Schuler AG in April 2005 and is responsible for the Forming Systems division. Mr. Beyer studied process engineering at Karlsruhe Technical University. Between 1989 and 2002, he held various managerial posts at Müller Weingarten AG, most recently as the spokesman for the Board of Directors in the Esslingen Division. Since 2003, Joachim Beyer has held managerial positions in the Schuler Group.

Dr. Markus Ernst

Dr. Markus Ernst, born 1969, is the spokesman for the Board of Directors of Schuler Pressen GmbH & Co. KG and of Schuler Guss GmbH & Co. KG. After studying technical business administration at the University of Stuttgart, Dr. Ernst started his career in the materials planning department at Schuler in 1995. Following this, he held various posts as head of department, commercial director and managing director in the Schuler Group. Dr. Markus Ernst took his doctorate at the University of Hohenheim in parallel to his work at Schuler.
