Wheelabrator Participates in the First-of-its-kind Edition of ‘Surface & Coating EXPO’ in Chennai

Wheelabrator, announced its participation in the first ever edition of ‘Surfing & Coating EXPO’ at the Chennai Trade centre, Chennai stretched across 3 days starting from July 4th – 6th, 2014. Towering over stall #77, Wheelabrator, a total solution provider to equipment, service and replacement parts unveiled its ‘Roller Conveyer Machines’ solutions for the Indian industries from its Indian operation on 4th July, 2014 at 2.45 pm at the stall. In addition to this, videos of their Shot Blast and Shot Peening solutions were showcased.

Chennai being the gateway to South India has the largest manufacturing base in various sectors. The Expo invited industrial players from Southern India comprising of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Kerala. These regions have witnessed a consistent growth over the last decade. The Expo highlighted the importance of Surface Preparation, Treatment and Coating for all materials such as metal, plastics, composites, concrete and any such material that is used for creating ambience that needs aesthetic looks/excellent finish which in turn will cut down the cost of maintenance.

The 3 day exhibition and 2 day conference, commencing today is expected to attract more than 150 exhibitors, 15000 + visitors and 300+ delegates. Today being the first day of the conference, a technical session on “Surface preparation and Surface Coating” was presented by Mr. Lars Südfels, Product Manager, Wheelabrator Group.

Mr. Jagadish Kulkarni, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, (W&A) who is thrilled to be a participant at the EXPO said, “Its important to switch to better cleaning process like dry surface preparation solution which creates much lower environmental challenges compared wet process. The shot blasting process with dry dust extraction system contributes immensely and many organisations started adapting these process. Such an EXPO will help educate the industry professionals and we are delighted to be a part of the first edition and hope to be a part of many more to come.”

About the Roller Conveyor Machine - The roller conveyor machine is the latest offering from the Wheelabrator technology to the Indian structural steel industry segment. The roller conveyor machines are offered to shot blast the raw materials such as plates, profiles and fabricated H beams/structures. The machine can be designed according to speed and productivity requirements of the customer. The plate blasting machines can be offered with plate widths ranging from 1200mm to 5000mm, while the construction blasters are customized depending on the requirements. Presently Roller Conveyor machines up-to plate widths of 3000mm are offered from the Indian operations & the higher width machines and the construction blasters are offered from the European Operations. The machines are equipped with latest wheel technology and latest dust collector technology.
