(Hong Kong, 14 June 2011) The 2011 International (Shenzhen) Metal Casting Show (2011 IMCS), jointly organized by the Hong Kong Diecasting and Foundry Association (HKDFA), Guangdong Foundry Industry Association (GDFIA) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guangzhou Sub‐council (CCPIT‐GZ), concluded on 27 May 2011 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, China. Receiving huge support from the industry‐renowned enterprises, this three‐day event gathered 130 exhibitors ranging from die casting manufacturers to foundry manufacturers, suppliers of die casting machinery, raw materials, other materials, interface equipments, molds and other related products from China, Hong Kong and overseas.
As the core region of China's die casting and foundry industry, Southern China presents huge market potential. This show assembled the leading enterprises including Ka Shui, Wan Ho, Wencan, Guangdong Hongtu, Guandgong Hongtai, Guangdong Hongteo, Dongguan Fan Ya, Buhler China, Italpress, L.K. Machinery, Yizumi, Yan Hing Group • Glory Machinery, Chit Shun, Lee Kee, Shaoguan Foundry & Forging, Zhongshan Guangzhong, Guangdong Metal Forming Machine Works and more. With nearly 300 booths taking over a total floor area of 6,500 sqm, the show attracted 6,436 visitors from home and aboard.
Moving to Shenzhen with Focus on Southern China
Starting from this year, 2011 IMCS has strategically moved to Shenzhen to seize its geographical advantage and to create more business opportunities for both exhibitors and visitors. HKDFA and GDFIA have made use of their resources and network in China and Southeast Asia to invite buyers from all over the world. The theme of "Growing with the times, Scaling new heights" has been reflected from the enhanced quality of visitors.
Exhibitors are satisfied with the location and facilities of the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. The sophisticated decoration of particular booths has made the atmosphere more welcoming. Ka Shui Holding Co. Ltd, for example, drew visitors' attention with its unique booth design and outstanding brand image. "Different from the impulse on consumer products, professional visitors are seeking for information. The reason for Ka Shui to participate in this show is to promote our brand image, so as to advertise our one‐stop service as well as our innovative technology," said the company representative.
Positive Feedback from Exhibitors
Numerous exhibitors expressed their appreciation on the show. "IMCS is the most professional and influential industrial how which gathered major renowned manufacturers. Wan Ho Holdings Inc. expressed its satisfaction on the exhibition venues, facilities, number of visitors and on‐site atmosphere. Its representative stated that the show was effective to explore new customers and increase sales. Yan Hing Group • Glory Machinery was pleased to see a number of visitors during the first two days, with some of them even requesting for a quotation.
An Array of Concurrent Events That Draw Visitors' Attention
In addition to the state‐of‐art technology, various concurrent activities became the spotlights of the show. Establishing a prestigious reputation within the industry, the "2011 China/Hong Kong/Taiwan Metal Casting Industry Co‐operation Forum" continued to gather practitioners in the region to explore the latest trend. The "Metal Casting Production Line Showcase" which presented the entire die casting process ranging from raw materials to molding equipment, die casting and surface treatment has became the attention of visitors. Free industry conferences were also held concurrently to cover array of hot topics. It has attracted 421 attendees.
After professional judging, the result for the Best Casting Competition has been announced. Dongguan Modern Metal Precision Die Casting Co., Ltd., Wan Ho Holdings Inc. and Guangdong Hongtai Technology Group have received the Golden Awards. Mr. Simon Cheung, the Permanent Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Diecasting and Foundry Association, said: "For the Inverter Radiator Parts from Dongguan Modern Metal Precision, there are difficulties in filling and producing deep heat sinks. Carrying an innovative idea to replace steel with aluminum, the Rear Subframe from Guangdong Hongtai has complicated structure and high‐level of difficulties. The thin‐walled die casting tube from Wan Ho Holdings Inc. contains high technical content with difficulties in core‐pulling and thin wall molding." The Merits Awards were presented to Apexrank Industries Ltd., Dongguan Eontec Co., Ltd, Gaoyao Ace Die Casting Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Hongteo Accurate Technology Co., Ltd, Ka Shui Holdings Co., Ltd., Smart Diecasting Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and Shunking Metal Casting MFY.
As a continuation of this year's success, 2012 International (Shenzhen) Metal Casting Show (IMCS) will be held on May at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, China. More leading industry enterprises are expected to join this important event.
