Trimet’s subsidiary in Italy is celebrating its anniversary. The materials specialist has had a commercial office in Turin for the past 30 years. The branch office, run by Paolo Baldino, was founded by his father Roberto Baldino in 1987 and oversees the commercial activities of Trimet Aluminium SE in the Mediterranean region.
“Those who want to serve markets need to know them and be present locally. This is especially true when it comes to the medium-sized, owner-managed markets of southern Europe,” says Thomas Reuther, member of the Management Board of Trimet Aluminium SE. “With its personalized customer focus, our Turin office has been a success story for 30 years and has contributed to Trimet’s sustainable growth.” Since the subsidiary was founded, sales have increased more than tenfold.
The product portfolio offered in Turin includes a full range of aluminium and copper grades. In addition to the Italian and Spanish markets, the two-man team from Turin looks after customers in France and also sells products from Trimet’s aluminium smelter in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
