Adval Tech: Harald Folk new Head of Division

The Board of Directors of the Adval Tech Group (www.advaltech.com) has appointed Harald Folk (40) Head of the Molding Technology Division and a member of Group Executive Management as of the beginning of October 2009. Adval Tech formed this new division at the end of March 2009 in the context of adapting its organization to the group’s strategic focus. It has been headed to date ad interim by CEO Jean-Claude Philipona.

The Molding Technology Division is part of Adval Tech’s Medical & Consumer Goods Segment. It manufactures molds/dies for producing volume components in plastics. It comprises die and mold makers AWM Mold Tech (Switzerland) and FOBOHA (Germany). It is also intended to integrate the Omni moldmaking companies in Suzhou and Shanghai (China) into the division at a later date.

Harald Folk graduated in mechanical engineering and was also awarded an MBA by the University of Michigan (USA). He has many years of management experience in the automotive industry, especially in moldmaking and in volume manufacturing. His previous assignments include appointments as Head of Development North America at Dr. Schneider Automotive in Detroit (USA) and General Manager of Läpple Formenbau GmbH in Möckmühl (Germany).
