With its entry in the register of associations, the Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie (GDA) officially takes on its new name: Aluminium Deutschland (AD). The association is thus taking account of the changed political and social framework conditions. The focus is now on the material. The name change expresses the new public orientation of the association: The aluminium industry wants to increase its presence in public perception and intensify the dialogue with the various stakeholders from society, business and politics.
Dr Hinrich Mählmann, President of Aluminium Deutschland, emphasises: "With the new appearance of the association, we are putting the focus on the material. Aluminium is a central building block on the way to a climate-neutral society. Therefore, we want to put our potentials even more clearly in the foreground and further strengthen the solidarity with customers and politics. This is what the name Aluminium Deutschland stands for.
Aluminium Deutschland represents the interests of the material aluminium and its supply chain for a strong industrial location - from metal production to recycling to the finished product.
