ArcelorMittal has launched new corporate brochure 'Fabric of life'.

From windscreen wipers to snow shovels to baking tins, steel is the material used to make many of the objects we use every day. Our newly published corporate brochure demonstrates just how interwoven steel is in our daily lives.

The introduction to the 32 page brochure reads that "We believe steel has a key role to play in the world. From ships to skyscrapers, much of the fabric of life is made from steel."

The brochure features a mixture of well known and unusual examples of uses for steel, illustrated by bold, black, white and silver images.

One example shows how vital steel is to the agricultural and wine industries: "The wire used to support vines is vital for a successful harvest and has to withstand adverse weather conditions, pesticides and insecticides over many years. Our WireSolutions division is a major supplier to vineyards worldwide."

Another key theme of the brochure is the automotive industry, showing how widespread the use of steel is in cars and road safety: "Crash barriers are built to withstand major impacts, acting to absorb and contain the shock. The versatility of steel makes it the perfect material for crash barriers: it is able to contain vehicles with a significantly higher mass than other materials."
It also guides the reader through the steelmaking process, through four stages: extract, create, apply and recycle.

As well as showcasing the many uses for steel and showing how steel is made, the brochure also provides an overview of the company's strategy and values, its global steel and mining operations and its corporate responsibility program.
