Ardennes Foundry receives order from Stellantis for the production of rear wishbones and pivot pins

Order will secure the Ardennes foundry's production until 2030.

In view of the challenging situation in the automotive sector in the east of France, the Ardennes foundry has been awarded a contract by Stellantis for the production of new parts. This decision, which involves an investment of 8.6 million investment of 8.6 million euros, is expected to secure significant activity at the site with 2,200 employees until 2030. In addition, the transition to the production of electric and hybrid engines, which not only strengthens the competitiveness of the competitiveness of the site, but also makes an important contribution to sustainable mobility. These developments demonstrate Stellantis' commitment to adapting to the changing requirements hanging requirements of the automotive industry and to develop future-orientated solutions. 

Thanks to the commitment of the entire workforce, the Stellantis foundry in Charleville in the Ardennes was awarded the contract to manufacture new parts for a platform on which a future generation of high-volume vehicles will be produced. The parts in question are rear wishbones and rear pivot pins, which are to be produced in quantities of over one million per year and will guarantee significant activity for the site until 2030. 

The Charleville site has demonstrated its ability to be more competitive than external competitors by taking advantage of the need for limited investment and its expertise in the circular economy; in order to produce at a competitive price, Charleville will use partially recycled materials.  


‘This is an achievement that would not exist without the expertise of the men and women on our site,’ explains Stéphane Dubray, Director of Fonderie de Charleville. 'To win the contract, we were more efficient than our competitors, who are based in low-wage countries. This award gives us visibility for our production beyond 2030.
