The 8th Edition of IFEX took place in Bangalore, India
The international exhibition of foundry Technology, Equipment and Supplies & the 3rd Cast India Expo was a great success, together with the 60th Indian foundry Congress & 2nd Asian foundry forum. This was an excellent platform for India as well as overseas companies in order to showcase their state-of-the art technologies and services offered in this vibrant industry and a great chance to get exposed to new business opportunities. The presentation of nearly 300 exhibitors covered about 15.000 m² of floor space and attracted more than almost 7.200 visitors and 1.600 registered delegates from several countries. China, Germany, Italy and Japan were the strongest participants with their own representatives and exhibition area.

60th Indian foundry Congress & 2nd Asian foundry Forum

As an annual event of IIF, the 60th Indian foundry Congress was organized concurrent to IFEX 2012 & Cast India Expo 2012 at the same venue. Several interesting lectures were presented to more than 1.600 delegates. The new IIF president Dr. Sundara Murthy addressed his dream: A special university for foundry engineers in India.
2nd Asia foundry Forum was also part of this congress. Delegates from India, China, Japan, Taiwan, Mongolia and other countries discussed the actual status of joining parties and about sustainability and green foundry. As a guest speaker, CEMAFON President Gabriele Galante (IMF Group) reminded the people of Asia to also to be aware of social responsibility.
