Bavaria at St Petersburg Technical Fair 2012

The number and profile of Bavaria's 2012 delegation at the St. Petersburg Technical Fair - which belongs to Russia's most prominent industry events held annually since 2005 - is confirmed. In full accordance with the well-established tradition of German-Russian economic cooperation and wealthy experience of interaction between RESTEC® Exhibition Company and its esteemed partners the delegation has turned out to be representative and impressive. Thus, both guests and participants have every reason to expect a fruitful and intense event.

The national exposition of the Bavarian manufacturers has already become an acknowledged and traditional element of PTFair attracting increased interest of professional attendees, guest experts and mass media. There is no surprise in close attention focused on the delegation: Bavaria belongs to the leading regions of Europe in the fields of industrial production and innovative development. Its business is broadly appreciated for the highest quality standards, excellent reputation, and global competitiveness. The 2012 Bavarian stand's features eight companies on the list.

OPEN MIND Technologies AG, a leading developer of CAD/CAM software and postprocessors for designing and manufacturing moulds and parts; billi dichtungstechnik gmbh, a company specialized in the manufacture and trading of mechanical seals and packings; die-cut, graphite, and spiral wound gaskets; and PTFE; nosta gmbh - one of the leading manufacturers of equipment for machining, de-burring, washing, grinding and fine grinding, drilling, welding and caulking, hardening and surface treatment, and laser-cutting; Alfred Kirsten OHG, whose key-specialization is high-quality nameplates - both industrial and promotional (3-D scripts and nameplates; etched, anodised and printed nameplates; transcripts AT; resin-coated nameplates; surface and reverse printed PVC Polyester and PC; single letters, lapel badges, window display stands and door plates, etc); DEMA Präzisionsteile gmbh whose scope embraces special and standard parts according to DIN and ISO; MEGATRON Elektronik AG & Co. whose range of products includes angle and linear sensors; various models of load cells; displays, subsystems and amplifiers; foot pedals, trackballs, joysticks and panel encoders; resistors; Multiplast Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH - a company specialised in the extrusion of plastic profiles and plastic tubes; and Raziol Zibulla & Sohn GmbH operating in the fields of complete system solutions for a tailor-made, environmentally friendly and cost-reducing lubrication in sheet-metal forming (contact and non-contact lubrication as well as forming media) and offering a range of premium lubricants for forming operations.

Besides, Bavaria's Ministry of Economics and Bayern International participate in the delegation as well. The latter is a Bavarian export-promotion company for small and medium business, introducing Bavarian manufacturers, goods and services all over the world. It was founded in 1996 as a body aimed at export intensification, investment attraction, and cooperation strengthening.

Bavaria's exporters have been participating in the PTFair since 2010, and the record of participation contains extensive number of positive reviews. As a representative of Bayern International GmbH stated in 2010, the exhibitors were "really positively surprised and satisfied".

The PTFair 2012 is scheduled for 13-15 March, Lenexpo Fairgrounds. Its exhibition programs includes such traditional expositions as Metallurgy and Casting; Metalworking; Mechanical Engineering; High Technologies Innovations. Investments (HI-TECH). At the same time in 2012 the event's exhibition scope embraces the three new directions: Non-metals for industrial purposes; Services for industrial enterprises; and Fastener.

Along with expositions the event includes extensive business program. Among the topics to be discussed one shall name Technological Future of Russian Industry; New Technologies and Materials for Machine Building Enterprises; Investments into Industrial Sector of Regions with the Focus on small and medium business; There are Innovations. Will There be Investments; High Strength Fasteners: Quality and responsibility; Regional Cluster-Based Policy; and New Industrial Solutions for the Sector of Housing and Communal Services. Experience of Regions. St. Petersburg Industrial Congress features - among other events - the Technological Foresight Plenary Session, which supposes participation of core officials at the ministerial level. The Matchmaking Center is also to offer its services to the PTFair guests. The Innovation Projects Contest is will be held within the PTFair as well.

The event's schedule involves expositions of twenty Russia's regions - Khabarovsk region, Tomsk region, Kirov region, Perm region, Stavropol krai, Volgograd region, etc.

St. Petersburg Technical Fair 2012 will showcase 535 companies who will present their products, services and technologies on the area of approximately 9000 sq. m. visited by more than 9000 attendees.
