Foundry business event incentives Brazilian export estimated to US$25million

ABIFA, The Brazilian Foundry Association in a partnership with Apex-Brasil, The Brazilian Agency of Export Promotion and Investments, developed an important business event to gather the Brazilian castings manufacturers to several countries importers.

The invited sectors to this event were: automotive, mining, agriculture, energy, and ferry, to importers interested in knowing product castings suppliers of many types and applications.

Some of the Brazilian manufacturers’ participants were: A. Kalmann, Affinia, Almar, Altona, Araguaia, Biagio, Cruzaço, Daicast, Della Rosa, Fremar, Frum, Fulig, Fundimazza, Fupresa, Furlan, Gibbs, Granaço, Metal 2, MRS, Romi, Starcast, Sulmaq among many others.

The event just happened from October 15th to 17th 2013, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, during the trade show FENAF and the international congress CONAF. www.fenaf.com.br/vst/fenaf13_emkt_ing.html.



To this event 4th edition were invited big foreign companies interested in the foundry sector with products made by iron, steel, non-ferrous metals, and precised foundry process of Brazil, some of them with worldwide recognition. The foreign companies were selected by Abifa´s board of direction, and received freely air tickets, accommodation, meals and transport meanwhile they stayed in Brazil.

"Our objective is to provide to our international invitees the opportunity to know the best of the foundry worldwide market, with a very competitive price level, aiming the most modern technologies, in direct contact with the Brazilian companies, in an pleasant and reserved environment," comments the Abifa´s president Remo De Simone.

The international companies invited to our 4th Round Table Business Meeting Event were:

Linamar (Mexico); Denso (Argentina); Eugen Klein (Germany); Daewoo (U.S.A.); Rhino Parts (Chile);  Caterpillar (U.S.A.); Renault (Argentina); KG Industries (Canada); KDAC (U.S.A.); Continental AG (U.S.A.); Partquip (South Africa)

We had also the presence of two members of the automotive media from Chile and from Colombia, from the magazine Repuestos de Carep and from the newspaper Asopartes, respectively.

There were developed 188 business meetings among the participants during 3 afternoons, generating great business opportunities, estimated to USD25millions to the Brazilian exports.
