The ideal conditions for CastForge 2022: Close to eight months before the start of the trade fair, Messe Stuttgart has already recorded over 240 registrations for the Trade Fair for Castings and Forgings with Processing (21 to 23 June). The reception from abroad also remains very positive, and so visitors from purchasing and procurement can already look forward to joint stands from international specialist associations, such as FUNDIGEX (Asociación Española de Exportadores de Fundición) (Spain), IDDMIB (Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association) (Turkey), Svaz Sléváren (Czech Republic) and UNISA (Unione Nazionale Italiana Stampatori Acciaio) (Italy), as well as dozens of individual stands from international manufacturers. In order to be able to satisfy the high demand, CastForge is taking an additional hall at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre.

All good things come in threes CastForge presented the entire value-added chain extending from cast blanks or forging blanks and mechanical processing through to the final component for the first time in 2018, and consequently brought together supply and demand in one place. After its debut generated great interest, the new sector platform had to be postponed due to coronavirus. "The current level of registration and the available reservations are an impressive demonstration of the trust that the sector places in the still-young trade fair concept and in us as an organiser. Furthermore, it has once more been demonstrated how much potential the sector sees in live presentations and in-person communication – especially after this was recently forced to stop," Gunnar Mey, Department Director Industrial Trade Fairs at Messe Stuttgart is pleased to say. The project team is now beginning to allocate floor space in both exhibition halls, and has started designing the accompanying programme. In addition to the cast iron conference of the "Bundesverband der Deutschen Gießerei-Industrie" (federal association of the German casting industry) and the general meeting of the German Forging Association, daily specialist presentations on strategic and technical aspects of purchasing castings and forgings are also planned. Details on this and further programme highlights will be announced in early 2022.
