CASTFAST, the only online platform dedicated exclusively to sourcing cast components, is urgently seeking foundries to join its supplier network in order to fulfill a rapidly growing pipeline of casting inquiries.
Headquartered in Mainz, Germany, CASTFAST was founded in 2023 with the goal of radically simplifying the sourcing process for castings—by digitizing the quotation process and connecting foundries more efficiently. Currently, 30 foundries across Germany are active on the platform and receive job orders automatically.
In 2025 alone, casting inquiries worth approximately €10 million could not be fulfilled, simply because suitable suppliers could not be identified in time.

Registration is free of charge. The platform is financed via a small transaction fee applied only to successfully completed orders. Once registered, most foundries receive their first order within two weeks.

Steel, Steel, Steel!
CASTFAST’s origins lie in iron casting using 3D-printed sand molds. However, due to increasing buyer demand, the platform quickly expanded to include additional molding methods and materials.
Demand is now particularly high for steel castings, and the team is actively looking for new foundry partners to help meet this need. Aluminum, gunmetal (red brass), and services related to castings are also in strong demand.
CASTFAST uses a modular system to seamlessly combine suppliers and services for casting buyers—so neither customers nor foundries need to worry about logistics.
Crossing Borders
Although the CASTFAST customer website is currently only available in German (an English version is coming soon), inquiries from abroad are already being received. As a result, the supplier portal—which foundries use to interact with the platform—was developed from the outset with full English-language functionality.
Marcel Tschillaev adds: “Switzerland is a hotspot. We regularly receive inquiries there and would love to fulfill them with local suppliers. That’s why we’re reaching out to our Swiss foundry colleagues: join CASTFAST—orders are waiting for you! The same applies to other non-German-speaking regions. We’re planning to address international casting buyers more directly in English. European foundries that join now will be ahead of the curve. Our portal makes it easy.”
Besides Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic are also of particular interest to CASTFAST. Inquiries have already come in from both countries, and customers are increasingly considering transport distances in their procurement decisions—to reduce emissions or to save time.
More Castings for Everyone
Tschillaev concludes: “Our ultimate goal is to make casting more attractive as a manufacturing method and to make it easier to buy castings. Thanks to CASTFAST, some customers have been able to convert welded constructions into cast parts. That’s a win for the entire industry.”
CASTFAST aims to at least double the number of active foundries on the platform by the end of the year. Thanks to process automation and the self-serve supplier portal, there’s no upper limit to growth.
