China Knowledge quoted according to figures released by the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, China auto sales in May increased 34.07%YoY but declined 13.95%MoM to 1.19 million units.
CATRC said in the first five months of this year, auto sales grew 34.07% year on year to 6.05 million units while auto production jumped 52.18%YoY 7.18 million units.
Sales of passenger cars rose 25.02%YoY but dropped 10.85%MoM to 885,800 units in May. In the period from January to May, sales increased 28.7%YoY to 4.58 million units.
The research center expected that the country's auto sales will remain strong in June thanks to strong consumption and competitive marketing campaigns.
