According to Mr Zhou Shengxian head of the Chinese ministry of environmental protection, the main tasks this year, co hosted by the Development & Reform Commission and the Justice Department etc, would be for steel industry, one of the high energy consuming and heavy polluting resource industries, which will receive special examination.
Mr Zhou addressed that the ministry of to further guard against regional blind investment under the veil of boosting domestic demand and sustaining economic growth, prevent repeated construction of high-consuming and heavily polluting projects, actively keep away environmental risks and solve a batch of prominent environmental problems that harm health of the public and sustainable development, and to guarantee environmental law forcemeat for promotion of smooth growth of the economy.
