E-mobility: Hydrogen, e-fuels and methanol are the future, while e-vehicles remain in doubt

Reading time: min

As the German / Chinese management consultancy JSC tells us, the future of pure electric vehicles or plug-in hybrids is not as secure in China as one might think. Apparently, there are signs that fleet consumption could soon no longer be measured in terms of fuel consumption but in CO2 and that electric vehicles will then no longer get away as well.

Drives with e-fuels, hydrogen or methanol, on the other hand, have zero CO2 emissions and could soon gain a higher preference.

The managing director of JSC, Jochen Siebert, may not be committed to this, but sees sufficient evidence in China that technology-open action must be supported in any case and that clean combustion engines will of course remain in the race.
