EuroMold 2012 still convincing in its 19th year, the worldfair for moldmaking and tooling, design and application development closed successfully on 30th November with 55 965 visitors from 92 countries.

With its concept „from idea to series production“ EuroMold presents the whole processchain.
The exhibition demonstrated also this year the complete size of product development and moldmaking.

With 55 965 visitors the number was down 1,5% compared to last year. Nevertheless a visitor increase from foreign countries was recognized especially from Austria, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Brazil and Lithuania.
For the first time visitors came from the following countries: Syria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan and Zimbabwe.
Also very welcomed were delegation visits from Japan, Brazil and Russia. These visits were mainly due to the initiatives of the international cooperation partners of DEMAT GmbH for the foreign fairs.

Most of the visitors came from the automotive industry +3%, followed by engineering, medical industry, electrical-and electronic industry. A visitor increase was noticed from home appliance industry and toy industry.

In total 1086 exhibitors from 35 countries showed their products and services.

127 first time exhibitors came to EuroMold 2012 with a strong increase of foreign exhibitors:
Italy + 6%, Austria + 3%, Turkey + 3%, France + 2% and Switzerland + 2%.

Most of the first time exhibitors came from the product areas moldmaking and tooling, patternmaking, machine tools and design+engineering.

Highlights of EuroMold 2012 were the special feature shows “Partner Country AUSTRIA with forum, Jewellery Industry, Carrier exchange and consulting, B2B Matchmaking as well as the forum and conferences Photonic Processchains – the revolution in production?, the design+engineeringforum, Forum Materials, Forum Jewellery Industry, Sheet Metalforming Forum, Bionic in Production, and the conference: Advances in Metal Additive Manufacturing.

With 145 speakers EuroMold offered the largest forum and conferences since its creation and proofed again its unique direction for information, education and innovation.
Specifically the Jewellery Industry as new application area demonstrated the total variety of possibilities for additive manufacturing.

For the first time also was the <link http: euromold.demat.com _blank external-link-new-window external link in new>Opens external link in new windowPURMUNDUS CHALLENGE announced and this challenge initiated an overwhelming number of applications including many foreign countries.
The winners were Clement Zhang, Studio Mango and Casey Fenn.
A special recognition became Patrick Vogel, who received the visitor price of EuroMold 2012.
With this competition designer and engineers were asked to use all the available freedom of 3D Printing for the production of industrially manufactured jewellery.

With B2B Matchmaking service for the first time at EuroMold - already ahead of the fair - all electronic possibilities for appointments were offered. A new tool for exhibitors and visitors was introduced, which did improve their exhibition efficiency. All participants - visitors and exhibitors - used thispossibilities in large numbers and with high expectations.

The company Hermann Bosch was awarded with GOLD AWARD for an electrochemical erosion process, SILVER AWARD was given to the company Lithoz for a generative manufacturing process for high-performance ceramic and BRONCE AWARD received the company Concept Laser for an additive metal-and lasermelting plant X Line for the production of parts.
Many exhibitors from different industry areas announced very good new business contacts and significant orders at the fair.
EuroMold 2012 was again this year an innovation and growth catalyst for the whole application- and product development for all industry areas and the exhibition has reinforced its position as leading worldfair for the trade.
