Our mission: Fighting the global sand crisis
Earth is running out of sand. 50 billion metric tons are consumed annually. And yet, there’s plenty of sand available right where you need it, right at the foundries. Shipping virgin sand around the world, using the sand, and shipping waste sand, again, to dispose of it — that’s madness.
Our solution: Re-using sand cleaned on location
Finn Recycling cleans your sand so that it is better than new, and good to be reused again and again. On location. As a service. No capital investment, non-stop availability, no trouble with ever-tightening regulations for disposal or constantly increasing sand prices and availability.
Our technology: The thermal-mechanical method
Together with Aalto University in Finland and the Technical University of Freiberg in Germany, Finn Recycling has developed a sand regeneration process based on a thermal-mechanical method. The results are excellent: over 95% of the sand can be re-used, and the sand specifications are as good as or better than the original.
