“Frederik Zohm has played a key role in making the development of diesel-powered trucks a great success and at the same time progressed toward emission-free mobility at MAN. He has been an important part in the consolidation work of the research capacities under the TRATON GROUP umbrella for the development of the joint modular system for all brands,” says Christian Levin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE and CEO of the TRATON GROUP. “We look forward continuing to work with him for another five years.”

Alexander Vlaskamp, Chairman of the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE, added: “With his in-depth technical expertise and forward thinking, Frederik Zohm is a valuable pillar of our Executive Board work. In addition to the development of the new MAN Truck Generation, which was and is an important factor for MAN's economic turnaround on the product side, Frederik Zohm recognised early on how important the topics of electrification, digitalisation and automation will be for the future product portfolio of commercial vehicle manufacturers and made the MAN engineering team fit for the transformation. This has played a decisive role in ensuring that MAN is now well positioned in future technologies. We have carried out the first drive of an autonomous test truck on the motorway, we are the market leader in Europe for electric buses, we were the first European manufacturer to launch a small series for hydrogen combustion trucks and we will deliver the first e-trucks to our customers this year. I would like to thank Frederik Zohm and his engineering team for their strong performance and look forward to continuing our collaboration. ”

Dr Frederik Zohm has been a member of the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE since July 2017 and is responsible for Research & Development. He previously worked for Daimler AG since 2006 in various management positions at Evo-Bus, the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Cooperation and most recently Daimler Trucks Powertrain. Before joining MAN, he was responsible for the alliance management of the strategic partnership with the US truck manufacturer Navistar at TRATON.
