Mr Karlheinz Blessing is the new CEO of Saarstahl.
The Board ordered the 54 year olds on Friday in an extraordinary meeting of the Panel in Völklingen.
The personnel changes were necessary because the former Chief Executive Klaus Harste in January had announced his early exit.
Since one year Mr Blessing has been chief of Dillinger Hütte. He has also held senior executive of parent company SHS Saar Holding-Stahl.
