Reading time: min

Effective from June, 2009 Hombak Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH, Bad Kreuznach, Germany, will belong to Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, Krefeld.

With this acquisition Siempelkamp can offer a range of products needed for the front-end area in the production of wood-based products. This includes machines for material crushing such as flakers, chippers, and mills. It further includes machines for material grading, as well as conveyor systems and bunker installations. The company, which was founded in 1924, develops and manufactures all machines at its location at Bad Kreuznach. 46 employees generated a sales volume of approx. 6 million Euros in 2008. Hombak will continue to market its products and services under the Hombak name.

With the additional Siempelkamp knowledge and the strength of a large Group, Hombak will improve existing machines and develop new machines for the front-end area.

Thus, Siempelkamp sets another milestone in its attempt to offer a complete produc-tion line from the wood yard to the finished laminated furniture board.

With the implementation of this strategy, Siempelkamp will be able to better respond to customer needs and vouch for the quality of the complete production process.

In this context, we are looking forward to welcoming another company to the large Siempelkamp Group.
