The answers to a number of personal questions have stabilized - here, the handling of the crisis situation has leveled off. For example, a consistant 96% of foundries affirm that “displaced persons on the operational process” to persons, owners “order losses” (92%). Of these, 87% found “noticeable” or “serious” losses.
The industry has recorded massive losses in terms of presentation and production, is on short-time work and is reducing, listening, and personally: This was the tenor of the last two surveys and has now continued in October. Companies buy an average of 21.8% on sales, a figure that was quickly identical in September.
The question of the level of the boom year 2018 was new. Of these, the far-sighted group calls for around 54% to die in the course of 2022. 27% of companies bought after 2021. 19% of the companies see the time horizon after 2022 of a production output compared to the crisis year 2020.
"The German foundry industry has a moment in a difficult crisis - nevertheless the signs - with the justification just mentioned - are very good for a continuous recovery in the course of 2022", says Max Schumacher, General Manager of the BDG. "It shows once again that the foundries can make a personal contribution to the performance of future tasks."
