FRANKFURT - MAN AG's Diesel division said that it received an order worth more than EUR750 million from Electricite de France PEI SAS for the construction of three diesel power stations in its overseas Departements Reunion, Guadeloupe and Martinique, as well as one in French Guyana and two power plants on Corsica.

"I am absolutely delighted that we have succeeded in winning this order. Due to its exceptionally high volume, it of course has particular significance - indeed, it is the largest order in the company's history," the head of MAN Diesel, Georg Pachta-Reyhofen, said in a statement.

The engines will be assembled at MAN's French production site in Saint- Nazaire.

The six diesel power plants will go on grid between 2010 and 2012.
