New campaign has been launched on energy and resource efficiency
“ecoMetals – Efficient Process Solutions” as a core theme at GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST 2011

Energy and resource efficiency are the dominating themes at the four international technology fairs GIFA (International Foundry Fair), METEC (International Metallurgy Trade Fair), THERMPROCESS (International Thermal Process Engineering Fair) and NEWCAST (International Trade Fair for Precision Castings) in Düsseldorf in the summer of 2011. The Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre has therefore launched a campaign under the motto “ecoMetals – Efficient Process Solutions”, giving special emphasis to various pioneering innovations in this area. Visitors can obtain detailed information about specific products, machines and systems as well as solutions and services in energy and resource efficiency. The campaign will be supported by wide-ranging marketing activities both before and during the trade fairs. These will include special signs with the “ecoMetals” logo on the stands of the participating exhibitors, a dedicated page on the websites of the four technology fairs, several brochures and a pocket guide.

All exhibitors at GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST are welcome to take part in the campaign. The requirement is that they must have developed an innovation which they will then be presenting at the four trade fairs in summer 2011. The relevant registration forms will be sent to all exhibitors and can also be downloaded via <link http: www.gmtn.de>www.gmtn.de.

About GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST 2011
The four international technology fairs GIFA (International Foundry Fair), METEC (International Metallurgy Trade Fair), THERMPROCESS (International Thermal Process Engineering Fair) and NEWCAST (International Trade Fair for Precision Castings) will be held in Düsseldorf from 28 June to 2 July 2011. Running under the motto “The Bright World of Metals”, the focus of the global public will again be on foundry products and technology as well as on metallurgy and thermal process engineering. As before, all four technology fairs will have their own high-quality accompanying programmes with numerous seminars, international conventions and series of talks.

When this trade fair quartet was last held in 2007, GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST attracted a total of 1,700 exhibitors from 34 countries as well as some 72,000 international visitors from 84 nations. The total net exhibition space was 68,000 square metres. Similar dimensions are expected for 2011.
