This year, Heinrich Wagner Sinto Maschinenfabrik (HWS) is delivering two large ZFA-SD 6.5 twin molding lines for the production of brake discs. Below are the most important technical details and advantages of these systems:
- Inner Mold Box Dimensions: 1200 x 1200 mm
- Upper Box Height: 300 mm
- Lower Box Height: 250 mm
- Cycle Time: 14.4 seconds
- Output: 250 complete molds per hour
- Total Area: Over 2600 m² per system
For the customer, these are already molding lines no. 7 and 8, which are operated worldwide.
Technical Details and Advantages
Flexibility and Efficiency Models can be changed almost in cycle time via the rotary table of the molding machine. If required, the cooling time can be extended by an additional cooling house with 3 extra lines, providing a total of 9 cooling lines. Cooling takes place entirely within the mold box, enhancing efficiency.
Energy Efficiency The systems are distinguished by their high energy efficiency, utilizing the latest electric motors that meet current energy efficiency standards. All pushing movements are electrically driven to further reduce energy consumption.
Ease of Maintenance A user-friendly maintenance concept has been developed, making all hard-to-reach maintenance points accessible via platforms and landings. Automatic lubrication systems are installed on the respective units to extend the service life of racks and pinions.
Software and Monitoring The molding lines are equipped with the latest HWS technology, including the renowned A.L.S. (Plant Control System) as well as energy monitoring and cycle time analysis systems. All systems are programmed in-house at HWS.
Commissioning and Production Capacity
Both molding lines will be commissioned in 2025 and are designed for a total production of 210,000 tons of good castings.
These high-performance molding lines from HWS represent the state of the art in the production of brake discs, offering a combination of high efficiency, flexibility, and ease of maintenance.
