Austin (Texas, USA) - Hoka Hey Foundry located on highway between Stephenville and Dublin has been selected by the steering committee based in Austin to cast a 14-foot bronze that will be placed on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol. Richard Cowan, owner of Hoka Hey, his wife, Jalea, and his mother, Pat Cowan, were invited to Austin on Jan. 31 to a special luncheon held to make the announcement.

Known as the Capitol Vietnam Monument, and designed by artist, Duke Sundt, known as the “cowboy artist” this impressive bronze will pay tribute to Americans who fought, died or were imprisoned in that Asian country between 1959 when the first American soldiers landed there and April 30, 1975 when the war ended with the fall of Saigon.
