IN - Blast in Bollaram industrial area kills two

HYDERABAD: Two workers were charred to death and seven others injured in a blast at an iron making factory in IDA Bollaram on Friday evening.

According to IDA Bollaram inspector Satish Reddy the blast occurred at Vijay iron foundry factory at Jinnaram village in Sangareddy district, when the iron was being heated. Two workers died due to explosion and seven workers sustained critical injuries.

The injured persons have been shifted to a nearby private hospital. The deceased have been identified as Krishna Chouhan and Panchadev, of Bihar. A total of nine workers were on duty at the time of the incident. A case has been booked and probe is on, the inspector said.
