Jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and PT. Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), indometal 2013 together with the indotools showcase will provide the ideal destination for investors and industry leaders to come together and lead Indonesia’s domestic metal, steel and machine tool industry to greater heights. As Rini Sumardi, Director at WAKENI, emphasises, “The metal and steel industry is developing positively within the Indonesian economy and trade exhibitions like indometal with its indotools showcase will be the showpiece for this industry as it goes in search of technical solutions that enable it to compete on a national and international scale.” She also praised the latest data on the Indonesian metal and steel industry, which has seen the demand for metal and steel steadily rising, leading to increased investments in the industry.
According to the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Indonesia is well on its way to reach an investment target of Rp 283.5 trillion by end of 2012, reflecting a 13% increase compared to 2011. “By the same token the machine tool industry, being closely linked to the metal and steel sectors, will benefit from this development too,” she added.
