Japanese Sintokogio takes over Emsdettener surface technology company Agtos

The surface technology provider, Agtos, will rebrand to Sinto Agtos GmbH following the takeover.

The Emsdettener surface technology provider, Agtos, has been taken over by the Japanese company, Sintokogio.

The previous Agtos shareholders sold their shares to Sintokogio, which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Andreas Bügener, the managing director of Agtos, told Wirtschaft aktuell, that the takeover was a strategic decision. The firm hopes to expand via new access to an international network. The management and team at Agtos will remain and continue work as usual. The well-known contacts and spokespeople will also stay unchanged.

As part of the takeover, Agtos will be renamed to Sinto Agtos GmbH.

The transaction was logistically handled by the Singtokogio subsidiary Frohn GmBH (Altena).

Agtos GmbH was founded in Emsdetten, Germany in 2001. The firm is a surface technology provider specializing in turbine-wheel shot blasting technology. Agtos currently owns a manufacturing plant in Konin, Poland.
