At EMO 2013, Maus will give a flexible turning cell of the new MTV5 Series its world premiere.
The cell is composed of the latest-generation MTV5 lathe, which has had its design fully overhauled and its performance levels boosted, and comes complete with an anthropomorphic robot.
The tool magazine – always a feature of the Maus product portfolio, with the capacity to store up to 50 tools – has been entirely redesigned and enhanced with a view to offering a chip-to-chip tool changeover time of 3 seconds.
The option to process – automatically – various different types of pieces in small batches affords the cell a high level of flexibility, which is a characteristic that is requested by end users as a crucial factor in making manufacturing systems more competitive.
Thanks to these unique features, the cell can function independently, with no operator input, on a 24/7 basis.
We invite you to come and visit us at Stand E17 in Hall 17.
