New investor for BISCHOFF steel foundry

Michael Mönig from MÖNIG Wirtschaftskanzlei (Münster) succeeds in the transferring reorganization only three months after the opening of the insolvency proceedings.

It is reported that the Krefeld-based HAUFFE group of companies could be won as an investor.

"The search for an investor, which we started immediately after the initiation of the proceedings, is now today with the handover of the business operations to the purchaser," says a pleased Michael Mönig. "And the fact that, despite all the challenges that the foundry industry has industry for years, almost all employees have been transferred to the buyer is certainly not a matter of certainly not a matter of course. My thanks go above all to the BISCHOFF management team, without whose trust BISCHOFF  would not have been able to realize this solution," adds the insolvency administrator.

"In addition to the BISCHOFF management team, we were particularly impressed by the foundry's range of products and services.  The high-quality steel and stainless steel products perfectly complement the range of our group of companies perfectly," adds Wolf D. Hauffe. "Together with our trading business for cast and forged products made of iron, steel and stainless steel and  supplemented by our services in the areas of ADI heat treatment, mechanical machining and coating, we can now offer our industrial customers ready-to-install parts and assemblies not only from a single source, but also, on request, entirely from our own German production on request.

For the BISCHOFF company, which will operate under the name of BISCHOFF-WERKE in the future, a phase of uncertainty lasting several years is coming to an end. The company was already in insolvency proceedings  in 2015, whereby the investor solution found at that time, which was proved to be unsustainable. With the integration into the HAUFFE group the signs are set for stabilization and growth. which will ultimately also benefit customers, employees and suppliers.

The insolvency administrator had entrusted the structuring and execution of the investor process to the MENTOR AG from Trier, which specializes in special situations. In addition, the insolvency administration was supported by the Greven-based BURK AG in the management of the operational after the former managing partners were no longer available to the company.

As a certified foundry, BISCHOFF produces steel and stainless steel products of the highest quality.

For over 100 years, the company has been producing castings, especially from high-alloy materials, with a unit weight of 0.5 kg to over 4,000 kg.
