Saudi Aluminum Casting Foundry, a subsidiary of Obeikan Glass Co., has launched trial operations for its aluminum casting facility.
As reported by Argaam, the factory, located in Al-Madina Al-Munawwara Industrial City, will focus on manufacturing and casting aluminum into various products.
The firm said that the pilot phase will continue until its factory equipment has been tested and operational efficiency ensured.
Saudi Aluminium expects financial impact to materialize with the start of commercial operations in the first quarter of 2025.
In August 2023, Obeikan Glass signed a partnership agreement with Al-Esra Aluminum Factory to own and operate an aluminum casting facility at a total cost of SAR 73mn (€ 18.82mn).
As part of the deal, Obeikan Glass holds 60% of the project, while Al-Esra Aluminum holds 40%.
