The plant will be formally inaugurated by the top executives of MMPC and President Benigno Aquino III, and it will start producing new cars on January 29, 2015.

MMPC's acquisition of the former Ford facility will further strengthen the company’s assembly operations, according to MMPC president and CEO Hikosaburo Shibata.

The plant will be using heavy stam
ping machines, advanced equipment and engineering facilities to support the ASEAN production objectives of Mitsubishi.

MMPC currently operates an 18-hectare plant in Cainta, Rizal, producing 30,000 units per year, with vehicles that include L300 vans, Adventure Asian utility vehicles and Lancer EX sedans.
