It is reported that pig iron price in East Asia market soared to USD 255 per tonnes to USD 260 per tonnes FOB. As scrap price rises, it is expected that pig iron price will go up. Currently, Brazilian pig iron export transaction is active and the southern price is USD 250 per tonnes FOB to be shipped in May and June which is USD 20 high than in April. In addition, some export sales prices have reached USD 270 per tonnes FOB.
