have added four new models to their trim press SEP series. The presses are equipped with a sliding/tilting table which guarantees an optimum scrap removal and tool cleaning in automated casting cells.

REIS Maschinenbau GmbH have added four new models to their trim press SEP series. The presses are equipped with a sliding/tilting table which guarantees an optimum scrap removal and tool cleaning in automated casting cells. 

In order to effect the process of trimming of castings and scrap removal in automated casting cells in an even more reliable way, REIS have developed the trim press with sliding/tilting table. The sliding/tilting table with clamped lower die half is moved out of the press room for loading and unloading. In moved-out position the table may be swiveled continuously up to a 180° angle. The freely programmable swivel function allows safe scrap removal and cleaning of the tool. Thus process safety will be ensured for removal of complex runners in automatic operation, too. 

Free access to the casting without interfering edges allows ideal conditions for fast loading and unloading by means of linear or articulated arm robot. Tool change is considerably simplified and reduced since the operator can directly lift the tool by means of hall crane or tool cart. Additional auxiliary means such as lift truck or tool change device are not necessary. 

Due to the sliding/tilting table the press is especially suitable for very large components such as e.g. structure parts. Furthermore less press stroke is required, this will result in considerable reduction of cycle time.

The different models of the trim press are available with clamping surfaces of 820 x 700 mm up to 2240 x 1800 mm. Pressure forces from 200 kN up to 2000 kN. Various daylights and a great variety of accessories is available, manual or automatic operation are possible upon choice. The presses can be integrated into existing or new casting cells in an optimum manner due to the modular and flexible system.
