SAVELLI has recently installed and successfully commissioned a new horizontal tight flask molding line type F1 (1.400 x 965 x 400/400 mm, 60 molds per hour) equipped with Formimpress mold compaction system served by a new SAVELLI SK 90 sand cooler and a new SAVELLI SGMT 4000 sand mixer at Zakład Metalurgiczny “WSK Rzeszów” Sp. z o.o., in Poland.
The new molding line produces heavy large grey and ductile iron castings mainly for trucks and tractors.
The molds-castings are partially cooled in flask and in double welded steel jackets (2 molds in 1 jacket). ZM WSK is now producing castings with the best sand/metal ratio thanks to SAVELLI mold compaction process, Formimpress - a high-pressure double squeezing system that comprises a simple impression of the pattern directly into the moulding sand contained in the flask. The forces originating during the squeezing phase are opposed by a counter force.
