Steve Ladatto Joins the Powder Coating Institute as Technical Director

The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) announces that Steve Ladatto has joined the association as technical director. With more than 37 years of experience spanning research and development, technical leadership, sales, and general management, Steve brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the powder coating industry. Steve is a highly respected professional in the field and will be an outstanding addition to the PCI team.

Steve began his career in 1988 with PPG Powder Coatings, where he served as an R&D technician until 1995. He then joined Spraylat and served in various technical roles until becoming technical director in 2003, a position he held for 9 years, playing a pivotal role in product innovation and technical excellence. In 2012, he moved to IFS Coatings, serving as operations manager overseeing the design and construction of a new manufacturing plant in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and subsequently managing its operational initiatives. In 2017, he joined Gordon Incorporated as technical director, a recognized leader in the manufacture of architectural ornamental metal for the construction industry. In this role he managed activities in engineering, CAD, product development, and quality.

Steve will focus on supporting and furthering the PCI strategic plan. His input in shaping the training programs, conferences, and outreach with other key industry associations will enhance the future of PCI. He will support PCI committees, write technical articles for Powder Coated Tough magazine, and provide technical expertise to the overall membership.
