During a short visit to Sabine Heyer and Lena Seifert at kutz ersa in Kreuzwertheim, the initial joy was that personal meetings are currently possible again without risk and more easily.

kurtz ersa has come through the pandemic well as a company and we had the opportunity to get a picture of the additive manufacturing department driven by kurtz ersa.

Clemens Frenzel, product manager at kurtz ersa, for additive manufacturing then enthusiastically introduced us to the new ALPHA 140 metallic 3D laser printer, which kurtz ersa has developed together with LMI (Laser Melting Innovations Co.KG in Aachen).

The aim is to offer companies from medium-sized businesses, including those in the foundry sector, a cost-effective entry into additive manufacturing.

As a surprise gift on the occasion of our visit, Clemens Frenzel and his team did not miss the opportunity to print a stainless steel guest gift for Foundry-Planet.

The result was impressive and shows the immense application possibilities of metallic 3D laser printing technology.
