Ted Hull to Take Over as 3D Systems’ Chief Financial Officer on November 11

Reading time: min

Positive changes are going on with both products and people at 3D Systems, headquartered in Rock Hill, SC. Anyone who knows a thing about business will tell you that a company is only as good as the people making up its collective team, and 3D Systems is obviously continuing on their path to excellence with some recent additions and transitions.

Just announced today, Ted Hull will soon be taking over duties as Chief Financial Officer. Until then, he is serving as Executive Vice President of Finance, warming up for duties in his new office with his appointment beginning on November 11. Perhaps in a stroke of lucky coincidence, while the new CFO is not any relation, he does have the same surname as Chuck Hull, known not only as the founder of 3D Systems, but also as the inventor of 3D printing.

“We are privileged to welcome a person of Ted Hull’s impressive financial and business leadership experience to 3D Systems,” said Avi Reichental, President and Chief Executive Officer, 3DS. “Ted’s proven track record in integrating, scaling and fine-tuning high-growth tech companies is a tremendous asset to our company as we execute the next phase of our profitable growth strategy.”
While these are big shoes to fill at the high-profile company, Hull comes to the table with many years of experience and wisdom in the technology industry that should serve him well.

Hull’s background of 30 years in technology is well-rounded, with a foundation beginning at IBM, and spanning 17 years of distinguished effort. Hull is well-equipped to continue on in financial leadership, with experience also gained at  Cisco and Maxter — and most recently as Executive Vice-President and CFO of Fusion-io, a company which specializes in advanced flash data solutions and was recently acquired by SanDisk.

The current CFO, Damon Gregoire, takes on the role of Executive Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at 3D Systems.

“We are deeply grateful to Damon for his eight years of outstanding financial and operations leadership during a period of rapid growth and expansion,” said Reichental. “We are fortunate Damon is able to continue to contribute as a senior executive, while he attends to family healthcare needs.”

3D Systems has been revolutionizing technology for over 25 years through stereolithography, selective laser sintering, and direct metal printing. They are a company known for a dedication and commitment to ‘unleashing the full potential of 3D printing.’ 3D Systems continues to innovate and allow all of their clients to work on both the cutting and competitive edge with 3D printing, whether they are purchasing personal, professional, or production 3D printing equipment.
