Debate about the future of the foundry industry

One of the key elements of this year’s edition will be a discussion panel devoted to the future of the foundry industry in the face of dynamic changes to the global market. Experts and sector leaders will discuss the most important trends, challenges and opportunities facing the foundry industry both in Poland and around the world.

“This is a unique opportunity to hear the voices of industry leaders and internationally renowned experts,” stresses Prof. Rafał Dańko, the president of the Association of Polish Foundries.

“The panel will not only provide an understanding of key trends, but also inspire the search for new solutions, exchange experiences and building relationships within the industry community.”

Foundry in the face of industrial transformation and global challenges

The discussion will address the role of the foundry industry as a supplier of components to key industries such as automotive, defense and energy. The foundry sector also remains a key partner for the defense industry, providing durable and reliable components used in the production of military equipment. With growing emphasis of national security and the modernization of the army, new opportunities are emerging, ones that require maintaining high standards of quality and production flexibility.
The topic of energy transition, the challenges for the industry in this area and the need for more environmentally friendly manufacturing solutions will be also raised in the discussion.
The panel aims to show how foundries can adapt to new realities, retaining their vital role in the industrial supply chain while addressing the needs of efficiency, innovation and environmental responsibility.

To provide a global outlook on the problems and challenges at hand, international specialists representing Germany, Denmark, Turkey and Poland were invited to participate in the panel.

Innovation, knowledge and practice

The FOCAST Foundry Salon will feature dedicated Industry Days, allowing visitors and exhibitors to learn about industry innovations in the optimization of production processes, using modern equipment and ERP solutions.

“We could miss the implementation of an initiative of this magnitude,” says Katarzyna Liszka, Secretary General of STOP, adding that “the ITM Industry Europe fair is an excellent place to meet with industry representatives, and the FOCAST Foundry Salon fits perfectly into this idea. The FOCAST Foundry Salon will showcase Poland’s multifaceted potential in the foundry industry - on the one hand, as it comprises foundries offering a wide range of cast parts for machinery and equipment, and, on the other had, as it has an abundance of suppliers of indispensable and innovative materials and equipment used in the industry, allowing the production of increasingly demanding and competitive castings. With our home industry in mind, we have prepared a great event that we hope will bring many benefits, new contracts and fruitful contacts for exhibitors as well as visitors.”

The value of the FOCAST Foundry Salon has been recognized by Foundry Planet, a world renowned industry portal, which became a media patron of the event.
