First-rate conference with top international participants

The thermoprocess industry around the world is looking forward to a first-rate new conference with an international line-up in 2013. ITPS 2013 - the International Thermprocess Summit - is attracting capable participants and speakers to the CCD Süd Congress Center in Düsseldorf from 9. to 10. July. The high quality of the participants is already apparent: experts from Germany, the USA, China, India or Mexico will be presenting an in-depth review of the latest developments in the industrial furnace field. It goes without saying that energy efficiency is a subject that will be given high priority in this context, while new business models for the thermoprocess industry, gigantic emerging and new markets in Asia, future energy models in the USA, China's steel industry, developments in the global automotive industry and innovations in heat treatment e.g. for wind energy and more efficient drives will be central features of ITPS 2013 too.

The extensive programme for this international summit meeting of the thermoprocess industry - including brief summaries of the presentations - will be published at www.itps-online.com from the end of April 2013 onwards, with regular updates and additions. The information provided will be completed by biographical data about and photos of the well-known speakers, among whom are such respected industry insiders as Dr Hermann Stumpp (Tenova), Dr Andreas Seitzer (SMS Elotherm), Mark Mills from the Manhattan Institute or a senior representative of Baosteel / China.

ITPS 2013 is starting at 9.00 on 9. July with a welcoming address from the President of the European Committee of Industrial Furnace and Heating Equipment Associations (CECOF), René Branders. The opening speaker will then be Dr Hermann Stumpp, who will be giving an initial insight into the thermoprocess industry.

This will be followed by the first section, which will be covering the innovative areas of energy and resources, introduced by a political statement from the EU Commissioner for the Environment, Janez Potočnik. International speakers will be highlighting the economic situation in the different markets, with a focus on Asia, in the second section. The emphasis on the second day of the summit meeting will be on the users of heat treatment technology: the presentations entitled "Thermoprocess technology - innovation driver" and "Technological progress stimulated by customers' requirements" will be concentrating on such issues as new developments in heat treatment applications in the automotive industry or the huge electric heating field. The well-known conference moderator Cathy Smith from Belgium will be hosting the event.

Participation in the two-day summit costs € 1,500. There is a discount for bookings that are made early: the sooner a ticket is bought at www.itps-online.com , the lower the price.

Leading companies from the thermoprocess industry will be using ITPS 2013 as an attractive platform to present their products and services between two THERMPROCESS trade fairs in Düsseldorf as well (the next THERMPROCESS will be taking place from 16. to 20. June 2015). Such international market leaders as xy, xy and xy are acting as "Gold Sponsors" and will not only be contributing to the two days of the event in the foyer of CCD Süd at Messe Düsseldorf but will also be represented prominently on the website www.itps-online.de.

The organisers of ITPS are Messe Düsseldorf, the VDMA thermoprocess technology trade association, Frankfurt, the European Committee of Industrial Furnace and Heating Equipment Associations (CECOF), Frankfurt, and the trade magazine "heat processing" that is published by Vulkan-Verlag, Essen.

At Messe Düsseldorf, ITPS is part of the "Bright World of Metals" trade fair product group, for which an experienced project team headed by Director Friedrich-Georg Kehrer is responsible. Gerrit Nawracala (0049211/4560-568, NawracalaG@messe-duesseldorf.de) is available to answer any questions about ITPS 2013 and to help companies that are interested in the event.
